What about the coffee?
Throughout
the year, Nespresso experts roam the world in search of
the best coffees from the best producer
countries. These include Brazil, Columbia, Costa Rica, Guatemala,
Togo, Kenya and Ethiopia. They are on the spot just as the
fruit of the coffee tree (or coffee cherry) appears. This
coffee cherry normally contains two grains (or beans) that
are prepared into the green coffee that forms the raw material
of coffee roasters like Nespresso. It is also ensured, that
each Grand Cru coffee is grown, harvested and sorted using
traditional manual techniques. It is this deep understanding

Nespresso offers fourteen, exclusive premium
quality coffees of varying flavour profiles and body.
A selection
of 12 Grand Crus whose richness,
subtlety of aroma and smooth crema will delight the most
refined taste buds is available year-round. These 12 varieties
are available in two separate ranges to meet all tastes,
whatever
the
time
of day or choice of drink. The Espresso range features
9 Grand Crus with varied personalities to be enjoyed in
a small cup. The Lungo range is an assortment of 3 blends
featuring mild and intense Grand Crus, specially designed
to be enjoyed in a large cup.
In addition, two rare coffee varieties are offered to customers
for limited periods every year. Special Club (in the Autumn)

What type
of machines are available?
Nespresso
offers four lines of sleek designed machines with complementary
functionality that cover every consumer need. Whatever
their specific design, they can all prepare the same quality
of espresso and share high quality performance characteristics
such as: A high pressure pump (19 bars) that extracts all
the aromas and develops a smooth crema in the cup. A thermobloc
which heats water to 187 and 196 degrees during extraction
and empties the remaining water after each use so the water
is fresh for each preparation. A system with a capsule
holder of jaw which perforates the capsule and soaks all
the ground coffee to optimally filter the coffee. Various
other functionality that help deliver an incomparable
espresso.
